Polyphenols within the meals that we eat can stop irritation in older individuals, since they alter the intestinal microbiota and induce the manufacturing of the indole 3-propionic acid (IPA), a metabolite derived from the degradation of tryptophan resulting from intestinal micro organism. That is acknowledged in a research printed within the journal Molecular Diet and Meals Analysis, carried out by the Analysis Group on Biomarkers and Dietary & Meals Metabolomics of the School of Pharmacy and Meals Sciences of the College of Barcelona and the CIBER on Fragility and Wholesome Ageing (CIBERFES).
